Altium advised Scientific Analysis Laboratories (SAL) and Resource & Environmental Consultants (REC) on the sale of both businesses to Concept Life Sciences, a newly formed company backed by Equistone Partners Europe.
The acquisitions are part of a larger transaction which also sees Concept Life Sciences acquire Peakdale Molecular Limited, in a deal with a combined enterprise value approaching $100m.
With 500 staff in ten core locations and plans to expand into continental Europe and the USA, Concept Life Sciences is an international scientific laboratory and consultancy business headquartered in Manchester and focused on laboratory based analytical testing and complex chemistry synthesis. With the support of Equistone and under the leadership of Executive Chairman Michael Fort and Chief Executive Officer Alan Morgan, Concept aims to accelerate investment in biological sciences, cell based ADME services, biostorage and stability testing.
The transaction was originated by Altium, who advised SAL and REC shareholders on all aspects of the sale.
