H.E.C. Europe Limited, the parent entity of the Piraeus based H.E.C. Group (majority owned by interests of the Melisanidis Family) announced the acquisition of the shares in three (3) companies, namely (1) HÖG Hamburger Ölverwertungs-Gesellschaft mbH, (2) Carl Robert Eckelmann Cleaning und Service GmbH, and (3) Eckelmann Umweltschutz GmbH from the Hamburg-based Eckelmann Group, a long established and leading Group in the environmental protection sector servicing Northern Germany.
The business, assets and infrastructure, operated by about 60 highly experienced and skilled employees, include, among other:
· The most important maritime and industrial liquid waste treatment plant in the center of the Port of Hamburg,
· MARPOL logistic services,
· Liquid waste collection floating units,
· Land based reception and storage facilities, as well as
· Tanks and industrial cleaning services.
Furthermore one of the acquired companies is also the exclusive governmental contractor of oil spill and pollution fighting for the Port of Hamburg.
