Access Capital Partners backs the creation of Denmark’s largest equipment rental company alongside CataCap

Access Capital Partners (“Access”) is pleased to announce its co-investment alongside Catacap in the acquisition and merger of GSV Materieludlejning and Pitzner Materiel to form Denmark’s largest equipment rental company.

The combined company, which continues under the name GSV Materieludlejning (“GSV”) accounts for nearly one fifth of Denmark’s equipment rental market. The company, which rents out machines and equipment to construction companies, the public sector, industrial and civil engineering customers, has approximately 250 employees and a network of depots across Denmark. GSV will have the market’s widest product portfolio, covering lifts, platforms, scaffolding, pavilions and modules as well as heavy equipment, used in construction and civil engineering projects.

GSV will be run by Dan Protin, current CEO and co-owner of the business.

Access completed this investment through its co-investment fund focusing on direct investments into European smaller buy-out transactions, Access Co-Investment Fund Buy-Out Europe, which held its first closing in November 2014.

Access is an investor in CataCap I, a DKK 1.1 billion fund run by CataCap a manager investing in Danish SMEs that hold a significant development potential and have an innovative business model with long-term sustainability.
